After spending over a decade in financial sales, Lynn Wiese Sneyd decided to follow
her heart’s desire and become a writer. She started by freelancing magazine articles,
and writing and publishing a health newsletter. When an idea for a non-fiction book
came to mind, she wrote a book proposal, found an agent and soon afterward secured
a publisher. 'Holistic Parenting: Raising Children to a New Physical, Emotional,
and Spiritual Well-Being' (Keats/McGraw Hill) was released in 2000. While writing
the book, she received a fellowship to the Ragdale Foundation, a writer’s colony
in Lake Forest, IL.
Just before her book hit the stores, Lynn started working at Barnes & Noble as a
community relations manager. There, she scheduled and promoted author events, workshops,
and book fairs, and also partnered with organizations to promote literacy and the
arts within the community.
In 2002, Lynn joined Russell Public Communications as a literary publicist and proceeded
to develop and coordinate national, regional and local publicity campaigns for authors
of non-fiction and fiction books.
She branched out on her own in 2008 when she started LWS Literary Services, which
assists authors in book publicity campaigns, agent searches, book proposal writing,
A frequent presenter at writing conferences, Lynn has published articles and poetry
in publications nationwide. In addition, she is the co-author/editor of 'How Happy
Families Happen' (Hazelden Publishing, 2006) and 'Healthy Solutions: A Guide to Simple
Healing and Healthy Wisdom' (Basic Health Publications, 2006), which received the
2007 Arizona Book Award for best health/nutrition/wellness book. Her articles and
poetry have appeared in publications around the country. She currently is working
on her first novel.
